external product is not visible

Thanks for your question. External/affiliate products is a special kind of product that requires the purchase and payment t be conducted on another site or platform. AS it’s a product from outside, it’s impossible to use external/affiliate products inside our plugin.

Although you can try to add it to a composite, and when you publish the composite, in the front-end it’s still visible to be selected, but it can’t be added to the cart for the purchase. You can only add it to a bundle for the display purpose only.

One way to work around with this is to add it as an optional component and give a short instruction in the description box of that component that its presence in the composite for the display only, customers must click on the product name to reach the page where they can actually buy that item. Sadly, it’s the only “solution” I can give you in this case.

Sorry I mistook the plugin you were mentioning as Product Bundles. Composite Products can’t display that because it only takes source from items on your store only. It can’t display external products.

The plugins that support the display of external products are WPC Product Bundles and WPC Grouped Product, you can add the external product to them, but only external simple products.

If they have variables, our plugins can’t display the choices when the variations are posted on another site. You might need to write a notification to your buyers that they need to visit the external site to choose the item they want. There’s no way ton display that on our plugin.

You can have a try on two above mentioned plugins to see how external product is displayed in Product Bundles.
