For now I’ve decided to use http://wordpress.org/plugins/link-to-url-post/ as I don’t need automatic post link shortening right now.
I’ll be following this post, though.
Actually, it works on the new version without problem
How many links have you created ? Do you have activated the automatic creation of short links that are in all posts ?
Hi Sed,
I’ve tried it again with the newest version of WordPress and the Plugin :
if I’m trying to add an external link, it still redirects to this weird location:
/wp-admin/<?echo%20remove_query_arg("filter_".$table->id,%20$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"])?>
Also I do see those weird characters inside the Posts-and-Pages-Overview in the upper right:
id."' value=\"".$filter."\" size='30'>") ?>
95 items « ‹ id."' value='".$page_cur."' size='1' type='text'>", "".$page_tot."") ?> › »
May I have an access ?

Hi Sed,
désolée I didn’t write in a while.
Concerning your questions, I’ve finally found the muse to create some screenshots:
- I could imagine setting up a mirror of the site for debugging purposes to allow Admin access.
- I couldn’t create any external links, as the Add new URL Button would submit to a URI ending at
<?echo%20remove_query_arg("filter_".$table->id,%20$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"])?>
- I suppose automatic link creation is on by default.
The site itself is heavily plugin loaded, thus it could be an interference with other modules.

What do you think how to proceed?
Thanks in advance, as I like the UI of your plugin more ;),
Jon
The point 1 may be useful.
For the point 3, there is a difference between the option “Do you want to automatically shorten links in article?” which is not activated by default and the default behaviour of the plugin that shorten link of the article.
But I believe that according to your screenshots that no shorten links in article is activated.
I definitely do not know the problem. An admin access even in a dev website would be useful.
Did you try to deactivate other plugin to see if there is a conflict ?
Hi, I have been thinking about the issue.
The last time I’ve tried it (~ 2 months) the failure persisted.
I will have to check again.
Thanks for following-up,
Jon
Actually I believe that the new version is correct …
The error was due to the fact that the code indicated <? instead of <?php
At the time of your bug I hadn’t view the problem
Ah, cool. I will have to check the new version A.S.A.P.
Okay, the UI now works flawlessly.
But the redirection doesn’t work (tested for externel URLs).
Could you provide an example ?
What is your permslink structure used ?
