External Javascript files loading ridiculously slow

Hey,

I’m moving my current website to run on WordPress (in local dev stage) at the moment and surprisingly, the Javascript is loading really slow. I only have three javascript files (jquery library, modernizr and my global javascript file).

I’ve explored if anything is going wrong or loading slow in safari developer tools and everything is fine.

If I load the website, the css loads straight away and then the javascript kicks in about a second later. Very strange…

There are no plugins installed as well.

Has anybody else had any experience of this?
