External business ID is missing

Hi,
I’m having a problem connecting my Facebook account to the plugin.
Once the configuration process is completed, I get this error message:

Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!
External business ID is missing

When checking the options.php file, the wc_facebook_external_business_id field is filled with no special characters.

Tried deleting the plugin information from the database using PHPMyAdmin – still doesn’t work.

Anything else I can try?

PHP Time Limit: 30

We recommend reaching out to your host to change this parameter to around 1000. This is not directly related to the issue at hand but is important regarding your site’s overall performance.

It’s the same one that is listed in this thread.

In this case, as a next step, please try uninstalling and deleting the plugin as described here:

If the issue persists, please try downloading and uploading this mini-extension we developed for the kind of issue you have; it will add a new tool available at WooCommerce → Status → Tools called Reset Facebook for WooCommerce settings.

Hi,
Both solutions didn’t work.

Still getting the same error that the business ID is missing.

BTW – this article is saying I need to remove WooCommerce Extension V2 nut I’m seeing “WooCommerce Integration” and not “extension V2”. Is this important?

Thanks for sending the error log.

Please note when you connect a Facebook Page or Account to WooCommerce 2FA is required by Facebook.com. You can find more information about it here:
https://www.facebook.com/help/148233965247823

Please be sure that 2FA is enabled for your account and then try again to connect to Facebook.

Let us know if this makes a difference.

I have 2FA on my account.
This can’t be the problem.

Can the problem be because one of the other admins in the business account or the ad account doesn’t have 2FA?

I checked it again.
2FA is activated for all users on the account level – https://share.getcloudapp.com/L1u9Wgl5

So this can’t be the problem.
I followed the guide in the article you sent and I’m still getting the same error.

Hello @talmager!

If you are having problems connecting to Facebook, please follow these steps:

1. Surf to https://<your-site>/wp-admin/options.php.
2. Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id.
3. Update field to include only supported characters and save (best practice: store-name-dfsdc3lck9k6q ← 13-digit random string)
4. Double check the wc_facebook_external_business_id to make sure changes have been saved, in case changes haven’t been saved you will need to update this through the database.
5. Once changes have been saved, please go back to WooCommerce > Facebook and click “Get Started” again.

Please keep in mind that the ‘wc_facebook_external_business_id’ WordPress option **cannot be blank or contain non-Latin characters**.`
