I recently took over this website, and moved it to a new hosting provider. Since the move, I cannot get ANY email to work.

    Host: bluehost.com
    Email: gmail for business

I’ve set up my MX records as indicated from gmail. Outside of the website, our email is working fine.

WP Email is set up for SMTP. That is set up to go through Mandrill, and all those settings seem to be okay. However, on the Settings page, it says, “Error: Port 587 is blocked on your server. First check the Port Number is Correct. If it is contact your Hosting support and ask them to
    1. Open the Port
    2. Ensure that it can be listened to from the outside.”
I’ve talked to bluehost and they told me that port 587 is unblocked by default.

I’ve got Contact Forms 7, and those forms are not working. I have set up the “From” addresses to be valid email addresses both in our gmail, and in cpanel email. When I try to send through one of the forms, it does not send, and I get the error, “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”

I’ve gone all the way back down to checking if wordpress is sending email, per suggestions I’ve found online. Test if your WordPress installation is able to send emails Try going through the forgot password function on wp-login.php. When I do this, it says that it sent the email, but it never comes.

I am totally stuck. I’ve been through bluehost support numerous times, and they are giving me links to pages I’ve already found online, and things I have tried.

Let’s assume I am a total wordpress novice. Okay, I am. And I’m trying to figure out a site someone else designed.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get email through the website to work? Help Help Help!!!
