Extend Date with Time

    Hi there,

    It would be very helpful if the plugin could save the exact time (timestamp) when a shipment/tracking entry is created, rather than just the dispatch date.

    In our operation, tracking the exact time a package was shipped would allow us to cross-reference with our security cameras and verify if all goods were correctly packed and dispatched.

    Would it be possible to consider adding time tracking (or a timestamp field) in a future update?

    The previous plugin had that ability.

    Hi svenms,
    Thanks for the kind words and for explaining why you needed it. The
    camera cross-reference is what decided the shape of this, so it was a
    genuinely useful thing to know.

    Version 1.0.15 is out and does exactly this.

    Every time a tracking number is added, changed or removed, the plugin now
    writes an order note. WooCommerce timestamps its own notes to the minute,
    so you get the precise moment the shipment was booked and can line it up
    with your footage. You will find them in the “Order notes” panel on the
    right of the order screen. They are private notes, so your customers
    never see them.

    Two details that matter for your case:

    • A tracking code correction adds a new note rather than editing the first one. If
      someone fixes a digit at 15:10, the trail keeps both moments; with a
      single rewritten note you would not know which one the camera should be
      showing.
    • Saving an order without touching the tracking writes nothing at all, so
      the notes panel stays readable.

    It is in the free version, and it applies wherever the tracking is
    entered, not only from the order screen.

    If it works the way your warehouse needs it to, a review on the plugin
    page would really help…for a small plugin it is the main thing that
    makes it findable at all!!
