Exporting to wordpress.com using windows 10

    This not exactly a wordpress problem. I am trying to export my content from my hosted blog to wordpress.com

    The problem (windows 10) I am having is when I hit export and it goes to save it wants to save it as a txt file, when I hit the drop down menu to change from a txt file…there is not anything else listed.

    It seems to want any file I try to download and save to be a txt file and I can’t change it. Is there anyone that can help with this problem?

    In this case, just let it download as a text file, then rename the file to add the .xml extension. It shouldn’t affect the file’s contents in any way, you’ll just need to add the file extension so it’s properly recognized.
