Exporting mobile & phone numbers

How do you Export mobile & phone numbers so that the leading zero isn’t stripped out of the field in the CSV file?
Although the field is set to be a text field and leading zero and/or spaces are included when completing the form, the export stips the leading zero and formats the CVS field to general when it is exported.
As I am expecting to collect about 500 phone numbers, I need a solution to this issue.
