Hello,

Is it possible to push the header and footer sitewide, apart from one page?

I’d like a different header for the homepage to use as a landing page and then have the main header on the other pages.

Is that possible?

With Astra Pro + Astra Theme this can be done from the admin area using settings. Checkout Astra here – http://wpastra.com/

Where would I place the GitHub code? I guess for a header I’d replace the word ‘footer’ with header’?

Sorry, I meant to say I have the free version of Astra installed and active using the Product Landing Page starter site.

How do you exclude the main header from a page using the admin area settings?

Hello @tinybluerocket,

You need to add this as a PHP snippet in your child theme or using custom snippets plugin.

This is possible if you build the header using the Astra Pro plugin’s Custom Layouts addon. It has powerful target rules which allow you to build rules where you want to display or exclude the custom header.

Hello again,

I’ve tried running the code using the ‘Snippets’ plugin. For the footer it works successfully in removing the footer on the homepage only. However when I try to use it to exclude the header it removes the header on all pages, not just the homepage.

I have modified the snippet slightly – https://github.com/Nikschavan/header-footer-elementor/wiki/How-to-disable-Header-Footer-on-specific-page

The return statement is the only change in the final output.

This should work as expected for you.

Hello Nikhil,

I added the new code and I’m afraid now it is removing both the header and the footer created with your plugin on every page rather than just the header on the homepage.
