Excellent WordPress admin experience

Desktop Mode is an excellent plugin and has completely changed the way I work inside WordPress admin. The desktop-style interface, windows, multitasking and overall experience are really well done. It makes managing a WordPress site with lots of content and custom post types much more enjoyable.

The only feature I would really like to see is an easy way to copy the URL of the current window/tab.

Normally, every WordPress admin screen has its own URL, so you can copy it, bookmark it or share it. With Desktop Mode, screens open inside the desktop/window interface, and there isn’t an obvious way to copy the underlying WordPress URL.

For example, if I’m editing a particular post, page, custom post type item or settings screen, it would be extremely useful to have something like “Copy URL” in the window title bar or context menu.

Apart from that, everything has been excellent. This is one of the most interesting improvements to the WordPress admin experience I’ve used. Highly recommended, especially for power users who work with lots of WordPress content and custom post types.
