Excellent plugin – highly recommended

Hi,
thanks for creating this plugin.
Would like to add Estonian translation for it? Any good way how I could help to create it?

All WordPress plugins can now be translated directly on WordPress.org and you’ll find the Estonian translation for this plugin right here: https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/et/default/wp-plugins/seriously-simple-podcasting
If you want to submit strings for translation then you will need to click on the ‘Development (trunk)’ link and then go ahead with your translating from there.
How the translations work, is that you submit your translations and then an editor needs to approve them. Right now, however, this plugin has no editor for Estonian (as this has never come up before and I don’t speak Estonian), so if you’re serious about contributing the translation then I can put in a request to have you made the Translation Editor for Estonian specifically for this plugin – that way your translations will automatically be approved and you can approve any translations submitted by others if they choose to do so.
So let me know if you are serious about this and I can put in the request for you.
Hi Hugh,
thanks for quick reply! I’m up for the task and already started submitting translations. Just let me know what should I do next.
OK great – in the next day or so I’ll put in the request to have you added as the Estonian editor for this plugin. Once someone on the translations team sorts that out, then you’ll find that your translations will be automatically approved 🙂
I’ll ping you on this thread once that has all been sorted out.
Thanks for your time!
Thanks! For time being I added as many translations as I could.
I see you’ve added translations for everything – thanks so much!
You have now been added as the Translation Editor for Estonia for this plugin, which means that you can now approve submitted translation as well as submit your own without having to wait for them to be approved.
You can approve the translations that you have already submitted by using the ‘Bulk Actions’ drop down on each page of strings.
Once the locale is at 100%, it will be queued up for publishing, which happens every 6 hours if I recall correctly (although it could be 12), so after you have approved all of your translations then you’ll need to wait a bit and the plugin will then become available in Estonian 🙂
Hi,
thanks Hugh! I have approved submitted translations. I have still a bit “fuzzy” feeling regarding some of those Estonian translations, but since I actively use the plugin, then I will improve it over time.
That’s not a problem – you can always go back and edit your translations any time you like 🙂
Thanks for contributing to the growth of this plugin!
I just had a look at the Estonian translations, and you haven’t approved all of them yet – you need to do the bulk approve for all 19 pages of translations. It’s a bit tedious, but you only have to do it all once and then it’s done for good.
The team at translate.wordpress.org are working on improving things, but that’s the process you have to go through for now.
My bad! I have now approved all translations.
