Excellent Plugin and Support

I have to admit, I was skeptical of paying for optimization by image use… I was using the free wp-smush plugin before but its optimization capabilities were fairly limited. ShortPixel is the only plugin I tried that actually optimizes images to the point where Google Pagespeed Insights won’t complain about it anymore.

The image quality is decent, even when compressed in a lossy way.

But what I’m most impressed with is the support offered. I ran into an issue where, due to another plugin I am using, my images were being optimized twice, thus using up double the optimization credits. Upon contacting the plugin author, he worked with me to determine the source of the problem and applied a fix to the plugin. He also compensated me with more than the credits lost due to the issue.

Will definitely keep using, and it’s well worth the couple of bucks, for its ease of use and optimization capabilities.

Hope to see a few extra features in the future, such as the ability to choose which thumbnail sizes to optimize and which to ignore.
