The new version 5 is a failure

    This used to be the most configurable backup plugin and even if its interface was a big outdated, it was flexible and reliable.

    But the new version 5.x broke everything.

    I had to revert to the previous 4.x version for all my customers’ websites. What a waste of time!

    Maybe the idea was to make things more easy for beginners, but we’ve lost the ability to configure our backups as we used to. Custom tasks are not editable anymore and it seems we now have to pay for the Pro version (which is insanely expensive) if we want to get back the ability to customize backups.

    Long story short, this plugin has now become a nightmare and it is no more competitive compared to other well known plugins.

    That said, it does not seem the development team is considering to move backward despite there is not a single positive review since the new version was released. I’m afraid it is time to switch to another plugin.

    Sad.
