Evolve Theme

    I just installed the theme Evolve through BlueHost and I am trying to figure out how to delete the comments section that shows up on my home static page. Any clues how to do this? I’ve looked through the comments code and when I delete it, I delete the option to comment on the blogs as well (I don’t want that). Any suggestions?

    On the theme demo here, they have a list of latest blog post displaying on the home page.

    It sounds like you set up a static page to be your home page instead. If that’s the case and the evolve theme is the one that I’ve linked to, I would look in the index.php.

    I can see on line #836, that this is the code that gets displayed on a page. On line 873, you should see <?php comments_template( '', true ); ?>. That’s the code that pulls the comment box and adds them to the page.
    You could off course, just turn the comment off, but this is also another option.

    I did find the code, but I managed to break the theme. Not sure how that happened. Going to find another theme I guess. Thanks for your help though. 🙂
