What dates which are links are you talking about? I’ve poked around on that site and can’t find any dates that are links. Can you be more specific and point to a specific post and the date where there is a link? Or do you mean the date Archives in the sidebar?
I recently blogged about it.. see Date Boxes. Though I’m not sure where exactly it’s implemented in Binary Bonsai.

“April” will go to site.com/archives/2005/04/
“15th” will go to site.com/archives/2005/04/15/
“2005” will go to site.com/archives/2005/
