Events page slug

    I’ve created a page /events/ and added the shortcode, however the page saves as events-2. I think this is because I was previously using The Events Calendar which used /events/ as the slug (without the page actualy existing). I’ve deleted the events calendar plugin and saved the permalinks but I still can’t change events-2 to events. Any ideas on how to deal with that?
