Events not displaying – two different error messages

I love this plugin…except when it gives me agita like now…

Here is where I am:

**I have two Google calendars using a Gmail account and not Google Apps
**Both calendars are set to public (checkbox next to Make This Calendar Public)
**Both calendars DO NOT have the checkbox next to “Show Only Free/Busy Info” checked
**Both calendars can be read in a feed reader
**Updated the plugin, refreshed the feeds for both calendars
**Upgraded to the current version of WP. Updated the feeds for both calendars.
**Refreshed the browser pages

When I pull up calendar #2, in Chrome, I get this error message “Feed 2: Access to this feed was denied (403). Please ensure you have public sharing enabled for your calendar.”

When I pull up calendar #2 in Explorer, I get this error message: “Events cannot currently be displayed, sorry! Please check back later.”

when I try to view calendar #1 – I get the ajax grid – but no events. No errors, just no events.

The bottom line is that it’s not working. Nothing was changed prior to it breaking.

Update: The widget on the main page just sits and spins…nothing is displayed at all.

Page Link: Click on QPS Events in the tabbed display in the right top sidebar.

Any thoughts? This seems to be an annual event with us….working flawlessly until we actually start using it again…

Also tried:

**Refreshing the feed
**Changing https to http
**Setting the number of events to retrieve to 500 from 100
**Double checked that the feed URL is correct
**Changing the cache duration from 3600 to 60 and refreshing everything

Anything I am missing here?

Any help here? I keep flailing along trying all manner of things and the feed still won’t resolve.

What puzzles me is that the feed can be viewed fine in any feed reader, so I know the feed is working.

Next step….delete the plugin and start over. Sheesh…this shouldn’t be so hard.

I just clicked on them and it tells me that I don’t have public access enabled…yet when I log in I have the check box next to make public checked…AND I can access them through a feed reader when I am logged out…

I am confused…

I also made sure that the check box next to “show only free/busy” is NOT checked

Both of those calendar feeds don’t have sharing enabled (if you visit the URLs in a browser (when not logged in to the Google account) you’ll see the “Sorry, this calendar does not have public access enabled” message).

I realise from your original post that you have checked the sharing settings, but are you sure you’re checking the right calendars in the right account?

Does the feed reader show any of the event details (title, location, description), or just start/end times?

Okay…here is what I just did

Logged out of all google accounts.

Logged back in to the google account associated with Cal #2.

Click on the little cog icon in the upper right corner and choose settings.

Click on the Calendar tab

Click on the specific calendar (there is only one listed)

Click on the Share This Calendar tab. checkbox next to Make This Calendar public is checked.

Click back on Calendar Details tab.

Click on XML button in the Calendar Address row (not the private address row).

Copy the link address

https://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/quincyschoolcommittee%40gmail.com/public/basic

And then I can view by pasting into a google page, but still get the error message on the website

That feed URL isn’t the same as either of the URLs you posted before. Perhaps this is the correct one? I can access it ok in my browser, unlike the other URLs.

ok…just went back into the app and am copying and pasting the feeds that I have as part of the app…

These are what the app is reading…these can be displayed when pasted in a web browser.

These are what are sending the error messages.
