When cookie bot is installed through the wordpress plugin the events arent firing so I cant trigger any of the GTM scripts based on the cookie consent.

When its run on the GTM container it works fine.

    Any advice?

    Hi @rinch,

    Thanks for reaching out!

If you are going to use GTM, then you’ll have to run Cookiebot through the GTM container. This also means, that you can’t use the WP plugin.

Thanks, so to clarify: If we use GTM to fire things like Crossdomain link tracking, I have to set the whole thing in up GTM. I can’t combine the two?

    Thanks,

Please note that if your existing trigger is of the event type “Page View”, you need to change it to event type “Window Loaded” since the visitor’s consent is not available to GTM before the window has loaded.

It’s possible to mark up script tags outside of GTM, and Cookiebot will still work, but you have to insert Cookiebot in GTM, and not in the <head> tag.
