Event title is displaying twice

I’ve been working on a fix for this using info found in the forums but without any success. The more I dig into it the more complex it gets.

The first issue is that on the page that displays a single event’s details the event title is displaying twice.

Then I noticed that the ‘Calender of Events’ heading is not displaying in the calendar view. The area where it should appear is blank.

Third and last, the ‘Event List’ view is not displaying the ‘Calendar of Events’ heading either, but instead it is displaying the title of one of the events.

On re-read what I wrote sounds a little cryptic. I hope I explained that well enough that you understand. Please advise.
