is it possible to publish an event as normal blogpost?
so that the event appears in the normal blog list?

Hi,

it might be possible, you can include custom post type (CPT) such as EM ‘event’ in your blog post to make this work.

e.g. http://justintadlock.com/archives/2010/02/02/showing-custom-post-types-on-your-home-blog-page
