Even after updating “PERMALINK” & saving changes are reverted back

    Dear All,

    Please refer to link for error page https://postimg.cc/cg9NF36L

    Here I wish to change url from …/blog-2 to …/blog ( I’m not sure how …./blog-2 was created in first place )

    When I change to just “blog” and click update, the url again reverts back to “blog-2”

    Please clarify how to fix this ?

    Blog is going to a parent page with links to all the blog posts.

    Hello @vikramvi,

    The “blog” slug already exists on your website, so you need first to change it to something else, then try to change the “bog-2” slug to the “blog”.

    Then you can set this page as an archive or home page from WP Dashboard Settings > Reading.

    Thanks for quick help @skalanter , it was my mistake.

    I could see that there is already a “blog” page exists. I could see this under WP Dashboard > Pages.

    I had underestimated learning curve for WP website building. It is like learning a new programming language itself 🙂
