Evaluation questions about WooCommerce functionality
-
I am considering moving to WooCommerce to create a store on my site. I am starting to dig into the documentation (and will do so very heavily if I decide to go with WooCommerce) but I’d be very appreciative if folks could give me a quick yes/no about whether the following features are available (and any pointers as applicable).
1. I need to offer a product that kicks off an eMail to the buyer that is based on the product selected. My existing solution can send an eMail but it’s a simple eMail that is the same regardless of the product ordered (it does list the product in the eMail but that’s it). I want different eMails to be sent, depending on the product selected. Can I do this with WooCommerce?
2. I want to offer an optional “package” that augments the main product being sold. For example, if the main product is $200, I want to offer an option that is probably around $30. In a brief look at docs, this is NOT the same as an “upsell”. That seems to be at the bottom of the page as a related product-type option, but I want this to be positioned as an option for the product being sold (to “tweak” the product). What’s the concept I should be reading about here?
3. The aforementioned option is actually a combination of 3-4 services and digitial products (bundled as a single option). Some of these sub-options are taxable and some are not. Can I offer the “option bundle” as a single choice but have different tax treatments for each element of the option?
4. Similar to question 1, if the option is selected I want to kick off an ADDITIONAL eMail to the purchaser. So, if they buy this product and the option they get a) the confirmation eMail with details of the main product AND b) an eMail attaching the digital products that are part of the option. Is this feasible?
Thank you.
