eShop Sales Tax Issues

Hello. I’m very satisfied with my use of the eShop plug-in to sell my services online. The one catch has been that I haven’t been able to activate the sales tax feature.

I go to Settings>eShop>Sales Tax, then click to enable tax, enable tax by shipping with 1 band, and set all zones of the band to .06. I have also tried doing this without enabling taxes by shipping and setting the rates to .06. I have gone to the individual product pages to set the sales tax to band 1. The item description shows “band 1” under the sales tax column, but nothing is charged to the client during check out.

What gives?
