Sorry – I’ve not seen any gift cert plugins for eShop. 🙁
ARgh. that’s a real shame. Can you suggest anything I could do, or any other options I may be able to take? Basically, here’s my dilemma in a nutshell version: Client is with CHASE Bank. I had setup wooCommerce as the commerce, and added the Gift Cert. plugin, which works great! Paypal is all i have enabled, b/c they do not offer any other gateway/merchant. (Paypal, direct transfer, cheque payment, C.O.D, and Credit Card via Mijireh(i would do this but they take another % off of transactions).
So, Chase set them up with e-Xact, Self Hosted Redirect for checkout; however the only plugin that is compatable with e-Xact is eShop, NOT woo commerce. Ok, that’s great, so I deactivated woo, activated e-Xact, and now find out there’s NO other Gift Certificate plugin that is compatible with eShop.
Any thoughts on how i can resolve this? BLARGH!!!!!
Hey primitiv
Not sure of the current status, but Exact used to be quite similar to authorize.net:
https://hostedcheckout.zendesk.com/entries/304409-HOW-TO-Integrate-Hosted-Checkout-with-the-Wordpress-eShop-Plugin
The article is from 2010, so quite outdated, but it suggest potential.
So…
Option 1: Go back to Woocommerce if you think you can find and purchase an Exact gateway plugin (I didn’t see Exact, but my search was very brief)
Option 2: Purchase and modify an authorize.net payment gateway plugin. Again, I have no idea if this is still possible, so recommend you email around and get advice first.
If you’re locked into eShop at this point…
Option 3: Compromise heavily on your requirements/expectations and shoehorn something in. Off the top of my head, perhaps use unique discount codes, manually create the gift certificates after purchase, and then manually email to the user in a follow up email.
Option 4: Approach a developer to create a gift cert add on for eShop.
Best wishes
