• I can only guess what WordPress version I have. Yesterday, it said it was fully up-to-date. Today I tried to open the front end of my online class project WordPress site (not public), and received an error message from WordFence. The message looped, every time I clicked its ‘x’. I was able to follow the advice to reload the page, which stopped the error message looping. And I copied and pasted the first part of my URL, leaving out the admin-side string. I was able to open my front end in another tab.

In case I am unable to insert a screen capture, here is the text of the WordFence error message:

    An error occurred

Your browser sent an invalid security token to
Wordfence. Please try reloading this page or signing
    out and in again.

Thank you, your advice seemed to work. I submit this in case it can help other n00bs.

  • Hi pastshelfdate,
Thanks for sharing this one, you got this message mostly because your request to this page was expired, like if you left the page opened in one of your browser tabs then returned back to it later trying to perform any action there, reloading the page as mentioned in the message should work fine.

P.S. you can share screenshots with us anytime following this guide.

    Thanks.
