I’m trying to install on godaddy (which always seems to be a problem with whatever software I’m using). I uploaded and ran the install. This is what shows on my screen:

    Help?

Something with my connection strings, perhaps? Anybody?

Where does it say that within your install? Need more details as to what you’re looking at.

    Errr…it’s in Chinese?

Yes. The Chinese economy is growing rapidly and they will soon dominate the world. WordPress has decided that it is pointless fighting the inevitable and is converting over to Chinese. I suggest you get with the program and learn the lingo.

I for one welcome our new Chinese overlords – always been partial to steamed chicken’s feet in black bean sauce.

Just try a search for “chinese characters install” and you’ll find out you are not the first with this issue. It seems in most cases the solution was to download a fresh copy and try the install with the new set of files.

You have to admit though – this is pretty wierd. I havent seen anything like it since the shusbh effect. 🙂

Thanks for your help, but I found that godaddy will actually do the installation for me/you through Hosting Metropolis (who knew?).
