  • @akiraanastasia,

Can you post a screenshot of your issue(s)?

    Until then, perform the following:

    (1) Deactivate iThemes Security using FTP.
    (2) Log into your website.
    (3) Delete iThemes Security.
    (4) Perform a malware scan using sitecheck.sucuri.com (or other reputable scanner)
    (5) If no malware is found, reinstall a clean copy of iThemes Security. Check your plugin settings one-by-one.
    (6) If malware is found, contact your host for remedies.
    (7) Try to login.

If the above does not work, you may have to perform a plugin conflict test against iThemes Security and/or contact your host.

    Hope the above helps.

So i did what u said. Removed plugin, installed it again, but still happening. Now I just checked with my other sites, it is happening with all sites. The error won’t go, or plugin just locks me out.
In malware scan, there was something Yara file in Temp folder. But looks like it is not malware.

I might be able to help if you share more details (websites and screenshots).

    Also:

    (1) How many Security plugins are your using?

    (2) How many Cache plugins are you using?

    (3) Did you perform a plugin conflict test?

    (4) Did you check your Debug log to see what might be causing the issue?

    (5) Did you clear all cache (local and global) before you re-installed iThemes Security?

    (6) It’s possible that your own IP is blocked by an htaccess rule. Did you check your htaccess file to see if your own IP or IPs are listed in it?

    (7) If you don’t recognize the Yara file, it could be a virus or malware. Re-run the tests using Sucuri and VirusTotal. Make sure you clear all cache from previous scans. If you get any malware indications, that could be your issue. If so, you will need to contact your host company for instructions.

I am using 3 security plugin.

Only using 1 cache plugin – WP Optimize.

Not perform conflict test due to less time. May be this is happening after latest update? There was any update for iThemes security?

    Cleared all cache.

Debug Log will take time. Please Wait.

My IP keeps changing. This is actually a problem since few days. But I whitelisted my IP every time.

No virus detected on Sucuri and VirusTotal. Yara file is found in Cpanel Scan.

    @akiraanastasia,

    (1) You should be using only one (1) security plugin. iThemes Security is the best one (free and pro) in the market. We’ve been using iThemes Security for over 3 years and it works very well. That said, if iThemes Security is not performing well based on your unique circumstances, then stop using it.

    (2) Deactivate all of your security plugins, clear your cache, then activate only iThemes Security. Once you activate iThemes Security, if necessary, go to Settings and disable any modules or module options that may be causing the issue.

    (3) Your debug log should provide a good lead on what’s happening.

    (4) If you have a dynamic IP, please follow the procedure and/or solution provided here and here.

Again, with no websites or screenshots to look at, above is all I can offer.

    Best of luck!

Please reply. I am still facing similar issue on multiple sites. I had to remove plugin for login every time. There was any update recently? because it was working fine since so many years.
