    Simple Calendar version 3.1.9.
    PHP version 7.1.4

I have added simple calendar to a new install of WP and when i try to add the api key i get the warning messages and the key is not saved. I am bit puzzled because i had this working no problems yesterday on a different installation.

I have added and activated the plugin. Gone to settings, pasted my API key copied over Google console and saved.

Suggestions gratefully received because i liked this plugin and would like to use it.

Here are the messages that i am getting:

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘google’ in xxx/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/includes/abstracts/admin-page.php on line 186

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at xxx/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/includes/abstracts/admin-page.php:186) in xxx/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1195

The plugin is not compatible with PHP 7.1.x at this time. So the solution (for right now) is to use something like PHP 7.0.x until we can get the necessary changes in.
