I just published a newer version of the plugin that will hopefully fix the problem. I think since your checkout form is significantly modified, that’s causing the issues. The released I just published helped someone else with a similar problem and hopefully it’ll fix yours. Let me know if it doesn’t.
Hi Stephen,
I am having the same issue. I downloaded and reloaded the plugin just 5 mins ago and am still getting the card declined error when I know the card I’m working with is good. All my account settings in stripe seem to be correct…
Thanks…
Daniel
Hi Stephen/Daniel,
Firstly, thanks Stephen for your reply. I managed to get it working after your response.
I had both the test and live API key fields populated. I had to remove the test api keys from both fields and also un-check the Test Mode check box.
This seems to have fixed the issue and payments are going through woo commerce and stripe nicely.
You might also want to double check your stripe dashboard and ensure that it is set to Live and not test mode.
Hope you get it working soon.
I’m still seeing this “Error: Your card was declined.” as of 5/11/2015 while trying to test the plugin.
Site is here: http://www.airfiltersidaho.com/
I’m setting it to live mode and I’ve followed Raphael Sebbag’s suggestions of removing the Stripe Test API Keys and disabling testing.
Hopefully, this will fix things.
I keep getting this error in test mode:
S4WC_Gateway payment failed with message: “Your card was declined.”
I know my test keys are correct, I tried with both the live keys added and blank, same result.
I have the “test” mode checked in botht the plugin and on my Strip dashboard.
Any ideas?
I did the same as Raphael, I just removed the testing and it’s working fine. It seems that this plugin (while awesome) does not work in testing mode.
