Trying to install the WP Users registration free extension from the Extensions page.

Simple error message follows: Error while installing

Chmod 777 to wp content folder tree makes no difference.

Uhm, check your php version on newsletter status panel. Setting a folder 777 is not good, webserver ends ignoring it, almost surely (is a security rule they implement).

The error should be available in the server error log.

    Stefano.

    Hi Stephano

PHP v7. Of course 777 is not good. Mentioned to exclude the usual permissions issue.

Have you tried to install it via FTP? You can download the plugin from our site http://www.thenewsletterplugin.com (you need to create an account).

Could be your site cannot connect to our to download the plugin?

    Stefano.

I created an account. I could not find a link to the free extension to automatically ingest wp users. I checked the hamburger menu, the premium extensions pricing page. The only clear download link was to download the plugin from WordPress.org.
