Error When Upgrading to WordPress 3.1.4

    I keep receiving the error while trying to upgrade to 3.1.4 from 3.1.3:

    Warning: copy(/var/www/wordpress/wp-content/themes/twentyten/loop.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /var/www/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-direct.php on line 200

    Not particularly fond of the idea of a manual upgrade =/ Anyone got any ideas?

    I’m using the TurnKey Linux WordPress virtual appliance on a VMware ESXi server. Thanks in advance 🙂

    Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.
