Error when Network Activating in WP Multisite

    I’m using PHP v 5.4.38 (released Feb 2015) and I’m getting this error:
    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in [folder path obscured]/wp-content/plugins/sidecar-decision-tree/sidecar/sidecar_track.php on line 47

    I see someone else had this issue, but it looks like an older PHP version than what my host is using.
