ERROR: The Username/Password field is empty

    I was able to fix this issue, so immediate help is not required, but a potential fix for the plugin may be required.

    WooCommerce breaks the login function on my site. Once installed, every attempt at logging into the site via /wp-admin or via the nav bar login button worked up until 2FA.

    After entering the 2FA code, the site navigated back to the initial username/password login screen with two error messages:

    ERROR: The username field is empty.
    ERROR: The password field is empty.

    I thought it may have been an issue with auto-password fill in, but after typing it in manually, it still happened. I had to SSH into the server and remove the WooCommerce plugin and it went back to working again.

    I need WooCommerce for the site, so any help getting the plugin working again would be apprecitated.

    Hi, abramliddell, I’m another WooCommerce user.

    Did you generate the 2FA by custom developed code or are you using a plugin for that?

    Hi @abramliddell,

    As hinted above, it is likely that the issue is caused by the tool or code that you’re using to add the 2FA.

    Does the issue persist after disabling either the 2FA tool or the code?

    If it does not persist, try getting in touch with the plugin author of the 2FA plugin that you’re using. If you’re adding the 2FA feature with some custom code, you might want to cross-check it with a developer or the WooCommerce Customizations Partners.
