    I have moved my site from a sever where it was as an add on to a primary domain of a different name to a new server where it is the primary and only domain.
    After I created the package and downloaded it with the installer.php, I deleted the domain as add on the old server and ask for the creation of my new server.
    Unfortunately, after the installation, I only have a blank page. I did enter the wp-admin. I have following message on screen:

    Error: The theme directory is either empty or doesn’t exist. Please check your installation

    I did look at it but the theme is in the wp-content folder.All files seem to be in place.

    can someone help me?

    Best of Love

    Hi There,

    I have tried everything in the forum and nothing helps

    – index.php is there and well written
    – when I use the editor I have a message that the requested theme doesn’t exist
    – same with the plugin editor

    ????

    I’m 100% sure how to help out on this one. Did you try and contact the Theme author? If the Editor says it doesn’t exist then you may have a path problem… You might check your .htaccess file and make sure its setup correctly. Maybe try and ping your host and see if they can validate your file layout…

    Cheers~

    @officialtweezy,

    I had the same error message with a local WP theme i am developing. I fix it by just adding a screenshot.png to my theme folder. Maybe your theme doesn’t have a screenshot.png

    regards

    That is a good point @ddt… I also think you have to have a css file with the correct comments at the top, but I’m not 100% sure on that…
