Error: “Template is missing.”

Im trying to integrate WP into a site I allready created before I decided to use WP… And its a real pain.. 😉

Anyway, my new theme gets listed under “Broken Themes” in the Admin Interface. Description is “Template is missing.”

Index.php and style.css is there…

I would like to be able to choose it, to see if anything is working at all… 🙂

I have this same error message. I am not trying to make my own stylesheet. I am simply trying to get the default one to work again. It accidentally got deleted and I simply restored it and now it does not work. You go to http://www.jannascorner.net/wordpress and get an empty page. I have copied and pasted the orig. code and remade the style.css from scratch and ftp to my site and still does not work. Everything is in the correct directory. I am not good with css and php. I dont know all of the jargon. Can anyone give me some advise?

Nevermind…got it fixed…simply downloaded wp to my hard drive and reinstalled the directory. Thanks. Still having trouble with the ins and outs of the whole thing though. Any newbie suggestions??? <grin> Am in the process of reading the links above. It is all still a bit of greek to me. Not major, but enough for it to take me an hour when it should only take 10 minutes. Anyway…love the forums. Thanks for helping a newbie learn so she can teach others!

Can you give us a bit more detail ? There are a lot of problems in this thread and it’s not easy to know which ones you mean.

When I upload this theme and attempt to activate it, it is listed under “Broken Themes” and the error is “Template is missing.” I just started using WP today so I have no clue how to fix it.
