• I edited my page the other day but didn’t publish any drafts, was just trying out some new themes, and I received this error page
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function genesis_html5() in /home/theaymband/ammunitionband.com/wp-content/plugins/genesis-simple-edits/plugin.php on line 102”

And now it has not only PUBLISHED my unsaved draft, but it won’t allow to click on any pages to revert to previous format without giving a blank error page. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO! My entire business is based around my site, and I just lost several clients due to the page’s appearance! I am in full panic mode trying to fix this, and have hit a brick wall. I can’t call the company, and no one has responded to my emails and I am losing business by the minute!

So first things first: can you deactivate that plugin?

There appears to be an issue with the latest update of this plugin. I have experienced the same issue on a few sites where I have (had) it installed.

As you probably cannot now access the admin dashboard to disable it there, you will need to log in to your hosting account’s file manager or use an FTP program such as FileZilla to access your plugins folder:

    site_root/wp-content/plugins

Once there, simply rename the genesis-simple-edits folder to something like genesis-simple-edits-old

This should recover your site and admin 🙂
