    I’m testing some basic shop functionality on my test site.

    When I add a product to basket (/koszyk) and proceed to checkout (/zamowienie) there is an error “Something went wrong. Please contact us to get assistance.” or in polish “Coś poszło nie tak. By uzyskać wsparcie, skontaktuj się z nami.”. It seems like it appears when check for email, if I modify the email address, then it causes a new error to appear

    I removed all the plugins, tested that in basic StoreFront template and always is the same.

    It doesn’t prevent to place an order, despite error, all works fine

    Since you’ve already done excellent troubleshooting by testing with all plugins disabled and using the default StoreFront theme, this suggests the issue might be related to:

    • JavaScript errors. These can interfere with checkout functions while still allowing orders to process.
    • Server-side conflicts or configuration issues
    • Email validation conflicts in the checkout process

    Here are some additional steps to help identify the root cause:

    • Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) while on the checkout page
    • Look at the Console tab for any JavaScript errors when the error message appears
