error messages after installing Better WP Security plugin

    I see the following message when I visit my website:

    Warning: require_once(/homepages/21/d356931698/htdocs/wp-load.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /homepages/21/d356931698/htdocs/wp-blog-header.php on line 12

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/homepages/21/d356931698/htdocs/wp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php5.5′) in /homepages/21/d356931698/htdocs/wp-blog-header.php on line 12

    I see a similar message when I try to log in. I installed the Better WP Security plugin yesterday, changed all my usernames and passwords for the site. I also changed my security settings under the plugin. I immediately logged out and back in to the site without any problems yesterday, but I can’t get back in today.

    I tried deleting the plugin via FTP, but am still having the same problem. I don’t have any other ideas for how to fix this problem. Do any of you?

    This is my problem.

    I was out of my depth on this. I had my web host email me a list of corrupted files that got uploaded to my web space–evidently a hacker caught me.

    I went line by line and deleted the files, but I couldn’t fix it by myself, so I contacted a web designer. Sorry this isn’t more helpful.
