error message incorrect username or password

    Please help as this is driving me mental … also please treat me like a complete dummy as i have read through the forum and it is all over my head!

    i downloaded wordpress on to my mac and have it hosted through 123-reg.co.uk to run my blog http://www.firstliftup.co.uk.

    i can log in on my mac to wordpress but i can not log into wordpress support (I have had to log in with new details and different email), i can not log in from other computers to my site through word press and i can not log in to the iPad app.

    i am getting the error message “incorrect username or password both or 100% correct and i have tried changing the password and clearing the cache as suggested

    So, are you saying that you can successfully log in to http://www.firstliftup.co.uk/ where you have a WordPress site running?

    I’m not sure what you mean by WordPress support? What URL do you visit where your log in fails?

    Yes.

    To post a comment in the support forum it asks for your WordPress login, i assume its the same one?

    Also when trying to download the plugin ski smite it asks for your WordPress login in details, I get the same error message there as well

    This is the support forum for self-hosted WordPress sites. I’d hazard a guess that you’ve been trying to log in to the wordpress.com support forums using your self-hosted credentials. That’s never going to work because the two aren’t connected.

    Let’s assume that is the case, what about not being able to log in from any other device?
