Error: invalid_request oauth_callback

After searching the forums and google, it seems that all of the previously asked related questions and answers are slightly different from what I am experiencing, so hopefully this isn’t a repeat question. None of the answers were able to help me so I hope I can find help here. From the authorize page, I click the authorize button and get the following google error:

Error: invalid_request

Request Details
oauth_callback=http://tarnishedroyalty.com/wordpress/wp-admin/index.php?import=blogger&noheader=true&token=&token_secret=

I’m using a twenty thirteen child theme, version 3.7.1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The token and token secret values should be set which is why it’s reporting an invalid request.
What happens is before it shows you the authorise screen it’s already made a request to Google to get these tokens.
So you need to check the connectivity between your site and Google.

I have installed the core control plugin but I don’t know how to use it to check connectivity.

I just uploaded the beta3 version per your suggestion. Now I get a blank screen when I click the blogger importer.

I switched back to version .6 and performed core control. Test transport gave me this:

and Logging Module gave me this error:

Seems like your site is firewalled or otherwise unable to connect to the outside world. An importer can’t work if it cannot connect to the service it’s trying to import from.

It’s also possible that OpenSSL is not installed.

I’ve fixed a bug with the Beta which meant that it was erroring rather than displaying a message when OpenSSL was not enabled.

Otto, any ideas how I can get my code into SVN (perhaps as a branch) rather than having to keep uploading Zips? I have no permissions at the moment.

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it! I had to allow the blocked IP address with my host. Marking as resolved. 🙂

It’s also possible that OpenSSL is not installed.

I considered that first, but the WP_HTTP_curl transport doesn’t need OpenSSL installed. It uses its own internal handling.

openssl_sign is used in Blogger_OAuthSignatureMethod_RSA_SHA1 so that’s why I added a check to ensure that the OpenSSL module was installed into it.

That check doesn’t seem necessary, because that code is never used anywhere. The Blogger_OAuthSignatureMethod_RSA_SHA1 is not used by any other code in the plugin and can probably just be removed.

The Blogger OAuth being used here actually is the Blogger_OAuthSignatureMethod_HMAC_SHA1 class.
