• Reset pass. Tried to login. Been going on for a week now. I can’t change via PHPMyAdmin right now but I’d rather find out why the change isn’t being processed.

    – In WordPress, there is more than one way to set your password. Try reviewing this WP Codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

I’ve tried a few. Nothing works and I’ve tried emailer, emergency script, FTP. Before. I reinstall I need to know if the problem can be tracked down. I don’t want to delete my site uselessly

Have you tried switching to the default theme with ALL PLUGINS DEACTIVATED?

If I could log in, I could. I haven’t changed theme or added plugins in weeks. But I’m going to backup my plugins then delete all via FTP. It’s my last attempt before I reinstall

You dont have delete. Just rename the plugin folder via FTP something like :

    /wp-content/pluginsHOLD

Hi everyone … I am sorry to post my question here but this is the only open channel I could find …

    This is my problem …

I am having a HUGE fight with trying to access our website from the backend … the lady that did that has left so I have taken it over … this is the story:

She left a admin handover document which had a the following information had the user name and password but it does not match when I try and login – saying the password is incorrect – I then do the whole ‘lost your password’ thing – I reset the pasword and try again but it still says it is incorrect – also, the user name in the handover document and the user name that comes in the email is not the same so I have tried the new password under both user names … 🙁

Now I cannot even try and access it as I get an error saying “you do not have effiecient permission to access this site”

This is my company’s website so if anyone could help me … in lamens terms please, that would be greatly appreciated.
