    Hi

On this site, when using the sidebar widget html or text and putting the simple instagram feed shortcode to display the feed, the sidebar renders this error instead:
    [instagram-feed heightunit=p50 widthunit=50 ]

What is odd is this only happens on the main sidebar. This site has a home page sidebar where it doesn’t happen.

I could not find a reference to this on other topics.

    Can you help?

    Thank you

    Hey CloudedDottedMind,

It looks like there is an extra hidden character added in the shortcode causing a problem (non line-breaking space “&nbsp”). Also, can you tell me a bit more about what you’re trying to do with the height and width of the feed? If you are trying to make it span only 50% of the widget, copy and paste this shortcode:

    [instagram-feed width=50 widthunit=”%”]

otherwise copy and paste this shortcode:

    [instagram-feed]

Let me know if you’re still having any trouble.

    Hi Craig,

Thank you – actually the extra character is not something I’m adding. I’m simply putting [instagram-feed] & every time it converts to this incorrect shortcode:
    [instagram-feed heightunit=p50 widthunit=50 ]

    I’m really not sure why

Hmm yeah that’s very odd. If you switch themes does the issue go away? You may need to contact the theme author then. You could also test adding just the shortcode to a new page and see if the issue occurs.
