    Hi

Fresh install. I’m getting the following error after selecting or uploading and image “ERROR File doesn’t exist? Check file permissions”

If I click “details” a whole new slider tab opens with no details.

What file permission does does meta slider need?

  • Hi Dave,

Are you able to use the Media Library properly to upload and insert images into Posts and Pages?

Meta Slider uses the default Media Library/Uploader, so it if works for posts and pages it should work in Meta Slider too.

Meta Slider doesn’t need any special file permissions for itself, just the standard WordPress ones. This plugin looks like it might come in useful for checking permissions http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-file-permission-check/

    Hi Tom

I discovered the problem. There was a plugin conflict with EP Slider.

It’s working perfectly now thank you

    Hi Dave,

    Good to hear it’s sorted.

Easy Parallax Slider? That started life as a clone of Meta Slider, unfortunately they didn’t make sure it’s compatible with Meta Slider itself!

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi Tom,

Yes it was Easy Parallax that caused the issue. I’ve since deleted it as Meta Slider is a lot better. And your support seems excellent!

    Thanks again

    Dave
