Error establishing a database connection message

Ok..I host with one of the listed 1 click onstall wp providers and this PM my page now looks like this:

Error establishing a database connection…etc..
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at dinapea.anker.ca. This could mean your host’s database server is down…

I go to my panel at (dreamhost) and now the sql database name that coincides with this wp install is gone?

Is this a hack or a simple system down thing?

Please advise!!
