Error establishing a database connection

    Hi,

    I am get an error message “error establishing a database connection” when I try to open my website. I am unable to open the wp-admin page too.

    I think it might have something to do with a change I made previously:

    In my cpanel, I went to MySQL databases and I created a new MySQL user, made this new user the ‘privileged user’ of my database, and then deleted the old user.

    Do let me know if I must make additional changes to another file after making this change.

    You will need to update your wp-config.php file with the new DB user name. As long as that’s the only change you will be all good and ready to go again.
