Error Establishing a Database Connection

    I have a bunch of different problems with my blog right now, but most pressing is the fact that I can’t access WordPress. I try to put in my password and the screen comes up with these three questions:
    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    Are you sure that the database server is running?

    I’m pretty sure I have the right username and password.
    I definitely have the correct hostname.
    I assume my database server is running. . how do I tell if it’s not? Everything looks just like usual there.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
