I’m happy to modify the script for a slightly longer timeout or alternatively add a filter so you can change this value (if you can do rudimentary code). Would that work for you?
Ok, please do it … it will be very useful….. do for a longer timeout or user to decide max timeout..

Okay I’ll double the timeout to 20 and also allow it to be filtered.
But I won’t have svn access until next week so just be patient.

Okay I have increased the timoe out to 20 seconds and added a filter called lh_copy_from_url_class_remote_get_args which you can view in line 209 of lh-copy-from-url-class.php where you could increase it further by a filter via code. Let me know if this fixes your issues (it should).
I am resolving this for good order but will still monitor the thread and reopen if neccesary
