Error Connecting To The Database

    I just installed WP on a domain and while everything looks fine, occasionally, after posting or making a change to the blog and clicking the ‘update’ or’submit’ buttons, I will get a window popping up that tells me there is an Error Connecting To The Database.

    After I click the ‘back’ button and it takes me back to the previous page I click that same ‘update’ or’submit’ buttons again and then everything works fine.

    What could the problem be?

    to start with, try:

    1. checking with your server for any problems at their end.
    2. checking your wp-config.php file to make sure the info there is current and valid.
    3. If you have access to your database, in the wp_options table, make sure ‘siteurl’ (should be record 2)is set to the correct domain.

    Backup your DB before touching it
