Hey @abcedm, can you test if the issue still shows up with the latest version, 2.0.6?
If it’s still there, could you please send us an email to help@wpforchurch.com?

Still happening, even worse now, after updaing to the new plugig, it crashes my entire site…need a fix on this asap!!!
I’m experiencing the same problem. It doesn’t crash the site, but I get a 500 error when publishing with a sermon date.
All other sermon criteria is publishable/updateable, and I can view the single sermon after publishing, but it doesn’t show up in the archive because I can’t include a sermon date.
Running version 2.0.7

Hi @abcedm @inoutdoor,
We just worked with a customer with this issue and we fixed it by doing the following:
We updated CMB2_Utils.php to reflect the latest official code, you can try that by using the following – https://github.com/WP-for-Church/Sermon-Manager/blob/master/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php
We also set the customers PHP version to 5.6
Everything then worked fine for them, no more 500 errors when posting sermons.
Could you please try those 2 things and let me know how you go?
Thanks for your patience.

yes – works like a charm now – thank you!!
Awesome @abcedm, that’s great.
Thanks again for your patience.

I’m experiencing the same issue on my site, rivoakschurch.com/newsite.
I updated this file: https://github.com/WP-for-Church/Sermon-Manager/blob/master/includes/CMB2/includes/CMB2_Utils.php
Hostmonster shows that I’m running PHP version 5.6.29.
Any other ideas? I can’t update or post any new sermons.
Try installing the official CMB2 plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/cmb2/
It should override the one built-in to sermon manager & theoretically solve the cmb2 issue.
I installed the CMB2 plugin and the same error occurs. Also – I wasn’t sure if you’d see this post, so I created a support case here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/http-error-500-27/
Is there any way to get the previous version? It was working fine before I updated the plugin.
