Error 500 when acessing ‘Posts > Edit’

    Any help much appreciated….

    I am experiencign problems for no apparent reason. Up to 30 minutes ago it was all working correctly, but now, whenever I try to use Posts > Edit from the dashboard I just get the:

    Error 500 – Internal server error
    An internal server error has occured!
    Please try again later.

    I have disabled all my plugins and it seems to work normally when GD-Star rating is turned OFF, but obviously, this isn’t practical all the time, so what can I do? I have also tried re-installing gd-star rating but with no luck.

    Please can anyone help? I’ll buy you a pint.

    If it only happens with GD star rating, you may be out of luck with that plugin

    You can experiment a bit, you may have a conflict between gd star and another plugin

    If you can’t get your blog to work with gd star active, you may have to take it up with that plugin author, or consider an alternative

    I use wp-postratings for my rating system

    The thign is, it has been working absolutely fine for weeks if not months, then all of a sudden, it goes kaput.

    Strange but thanks again. I’ll check out wp-post ratings, GD star rating is far too complex for me anyway!

    Infact, I have next to no knowledge of WordPress and coding so wp-postratings is like gobbledegook to me.

    This has been resolved!!!

    For the record, or anyone else strugling, I had accidently typed some letters in the ‘number of lines’ in the Screen Options drop down top right!
